About me

I am a professionally qualified and experienced psychodynamic psychotherapist. My approach is based on the idea that present difficulties may have their roots in the past.

I offer both brief therapy and open ended therapy. In open ended therapy, we work together for as long as it feels necessary. We can take as long as you need, and explore whatever comes up.

Brief therapy is usually for 12 sessions. Because of the short duration, in brief therapy we would agree on a goal and focus on that goal.

I trained at WPF Therapy, one of the foremost training institutions in the UK, with a reputation for clinical and academic excellence. I am a BACP accredited psychotherapist (British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy). I am also on the BACP Register of Counsellors and Psychotherapists. This means that I have a substantial level of training and experience which has been approved by the BACP.

The BACP is one of the largest professional bodies for therapists in the UK and operates a Code of Ethics and Practice as well as a complaints procedure. This ensures the highest professional standards.

My Qualifications:
MA (Distinction) Psychodynamic Theory and Practice, Roehampton University, 2013
Certificate in CBT skills, Grove Practice, 2013
WPF Advanced Diploma in Psychodynamic Counselling, WPF Therapy, 2007
Postgraduate Diploma in Counselling, Goldsmiths, University of London, 2003
